A look at all 16 teams that have qualified for the Euros Part – 2
The team that’s has impressed everyone most. The team put up a great show against the defending champions, where they won 2-1 and were brilliant in the opening match too. The only flaw in their campaign was the draw against poor Czech Republic. They have tremendous quality in the middle of the park and Modric has flourished in the deeper Medfield role. Ivan Persic has been a wild card for them but face tough challenge in the name of Portugal.
The two time defending champions look strong coming into the tournament. Their performances have reflected something entirely different. They started the campaign against Czech Republic, where they struggled to break them, but got away with the victory. The win against turkey showed that they are still a worthy bit, but lost all the momentum by suffering the defeat against Croatia which resulted in a replay of last Euros final.
The Azzuries were not at all considered as a smart bet coming into the Euros, but truly established their title credentials against the much fancied Belgium by beating them 2-0. The defense is the key to their success as they relay much on it and is quite experienced, but the lost against Ireland could halt their momentum and they also face a tougher challenge in the name of Spain. They will want their attack to click against the Spain or else will be eliminated from the competition.
It has been a decent performance for Belgium in the Euros where they qualified for the knockouts after a long time. This is clearly not expected from such a highly talented team. Kevin de Bruyne is set to be the main man for them, but if Eden Hazard can rekindle his form, then Belgium can become a force at the Euros. Romelu Lukaku and Toby Aderwield will also be trump card for this team.
They will enter the knockouts with their head held high after beating Italy and earning a historic qualification, but the road ahead of them looks quite tough. They earned their qualification with the superb and desperate display against the Italians, but face the hosts France in the knockouts and have marginal probability to progress further.
The surprise package of this year Euros group stages. They qualified for the knockouts and even did in style by topping their group could have given Portugal an elimination form the Euros and have been on miracle run. The Belgium tie makes them favorites to be eliminated from the competition as they are no match for the Belgium team.
They have been the Story of the tournament so far. They have fought their way hard against the likes of Portugal to earn a historic qualification. They have been brilliant defensible and this time has contributed in the attack too with some couple of goals. The players comprise 0.007% of the population and looks like a brilliant performance for such a small team, but their flying campaign can be cut loose by the three lions.
They were one of the poorest performers of the elites. The experienced defense hasn’t delivered according to the expectations as it has leaked too many goals. The good news for this is that superman Cristiano Ronaldo is back with his goals and Luis Nani has also contributed to his team. The team has to step up in case they want to advance further.
